Hello there! I'm :iconsuperkim111:, :iconmarvelavengers:'s current Founder. It seems that you have found your way to our new journal about trigger warnings. Whether you have a question or you're just looking to see how things work around here, this is the place to be. Let's start off with some common questions.

1. What is a trigger?

A trigger is a topic, phrase, or word that has a strong, negative emotional effect on someone. This effect could be to enrage, or to traumatize by the forceful remembrance of a bad past experience.

2. What is a trigger warning?

A trigger warning is anything used to alert people when a material could potentially cause extremely negative reactions (such as post-traumatic flashbacks or self-harm) due to its content. It is sometimes abbreviated as 'TW'.

3. How do I write a trigger warning?

It's simple! All you have to do is type up 'Trigger Warning: Contains (mention of/explicit) (insert trigger here)', and put it somewhere that you know people will be able to see it. This could be the top of the work, or perhaps in the description.

4. What are some of the most common triggers?

* Abuse (Physical, Mental, Emotional, Sexual, of Children, of Animals)
* Drug Use
* Suicide
* Self Harm
* Rape
* Gore
* Violence
* Racism/Sexism/Homophobia
* Use of Slurs
* Kidnapping
* Blood
* Character Death

And there you have it! Now you know about triggers and how to warn people about them. So when you type your next fan fiction masterpiece, take a moment to think about whether you need to add a trigger warning. Once again this has been superkim111, and I hope you all have a wonderful, trigger-free day.
Hello everyone. This is superkim111, the current Founder of :iconmarvelavengers:. Now I'm sure some of you have noticed that I haven't quite been living up to my word about my plans for the group. For that I would like to apologize. I've been tangled up in course work for the past year, and while this doesn't justify my actions, I do hope it helps explain them.

I'd also like to announce that with the end of the school year upon us, I will be able to devote the time to this group that it deserves. First off, I am going to post three news journals over the next few days. The first will be the trigger warnings post that I mentioned all those months ago when I first become Founder. The second and third journals will respectively be a long over-due review of Thor: The Dark World, and a review of the newest MCU movie, Captain America: the Winter Soldier.

Well, that's all for now, but I do have some more ideas so keep your eyes peeled for any future journals that I didn't mention above. Once again, this is current group Founder superkim111, and I hope you all have a great day.
Hello everyone! How has the first half of the month treated you? Good I hope! Anyway, as the title says today's journal will be about submissions, contests, and Thor: The Dark World. So let's get started!

Submissions: Our new group Submission Policy has been in place for some time now. Have any of you visited its journal page? Have any of you recently submitted something to the group? If so, how was your experience? MarvelAvengers is always looking to improve so we love it when you give us feedback.

Contests: Recently, one of our devoted group members asked about the Summer Contest that MarvelAvengers had this summer. Unfortunately it is my sad duty to announce that since we didn't get as many entries as we'd have liked and because it has been so long, no prizes will be distributed. But we still want all those awesome artists and writers who sent in entries to get some recognition for their work. So I will be posting thumbnail links at the end of this journal to all entries. Please go check them out and give their creators some love!

Now let's switch over from Summer to Winter. We've had a lot of people join our group over the past few months (Hey guys! Welcome aboard!) and we've had an increase in submissions as well. So I'd like to give this whole seasonal contest thing a second try. Now the question I'm asking all of you is: Do you think we should we do a Winter contest? It would start on the first day of December and continue until early March. That way all of you guys can have a good chunk of time to work on entries. Any winter-type thing submission will be allowed, from snow to Christmas to whatever else you guys can dream up. I'd contact the people who offered to donate prizes for the Summer Contest to see if their offer still stands, and if anyone else wants to chip in I am definitely not going to refuse. And when the contest is over I'll post a journal with thumbnail links to all the entries and you, the MarvelAvengers group members, will each get to vote for three entries that you think should win. At the end of the voting period the scores will be tallied, and the winners will be rewarded. What do you guys think? Want to give it a go?

And speaking of upcoming contests, our group affiliate :iconmischieflovestasers: is having a contest with the theme 'What happened to Loki and Darcy after the events in Thor: The Dark World?'. If you're interested you can find the contest's official journal here: mischieflovestasers.deviantart…

Thor 2: This latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now in theaters in most countries or will be soon. I myself was able to go watch it earlier this week. So I will be posting a Thor: The Dark World review. I'm writing it up as I type but I won't post it until early December so that as many of you have a chance to watch it as possible. And of course I will make sure to put up spoiler warnings. I'd hate to ruin any of the twists for you guys.

Well that's all for this journal. I look forward to hearing your opinions and please do take a look at the entries for our Summer Contest shown below. See ya!

A STARK WEEKEND (Iron Man Fan Fiction)A STARK WEEKEND
by John Paul Dodds
“Tony!”, Pepper yelled at him.
“Just a minute...”, he answered absently.  Not even glancing up at her.  His eyes were fixed on the display, his fingers danced almost idly over the console keys.  “...I've just about got... HEY!”.
He shouted out in surprise as the holographic display in the air in front of him dissolved into pixels and disappeared.  He span around to see Pepper standing by the socket.  The plug was dangling from her hand, her other hand was on her hip and an aggravated expression marred her pretty features.
He held up his hands in mock surrender.  “Okay.  Okay.  I give up.  I'm coming.”  He wasn't a genius for nothing.
“Tony!”, she sounded familiarly exasperated.  “The plane leaves in twenty minutes!”.  He looked around.
“Where are the bags then?”
She sighed.  “In the car.  Waiti

Blind FaithOkay, this has spoilers for Episode 1 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. There, you've been warned.
Clint blinked as he stared at the orders on the table from S.H.I.E.L.D. Boldly written and very much in a familiar handwriting were the words:
'Go on vacation. Preferably Tahiti.'
He picked up the paper, expecting actual orders, but nothing else was there. Tugging on Tasha's sleeve didn't help either since hers were similar. He looked at his sister in all but blood and shrugged helplessly.
"Is this a joke-Oh, not you too!" Tony groans as he waves a piece of paper that is starting to look as though this is an Avengers-wide order.
"Did anyone else get orders to go on vacation?" Steve mumbled, the perfectly groomed eyebrows furrowing as he compared papers with Tony.
"Apparently this is either a joke or..." Clint hisses with disgruntlement lingering in every word.
"Or we're actually supposed to go to Tahiti." Bruce held up his orders as well. Thor hadn't been seen since the 'New Yor

Greetings True Believers! This is new Group Founder :iconsuperkim111: here with a treat! As the journal title said, the first official Captain America: The Winter Solder trailer has been released! Check it out using the link below and then head down a bit further to read my thoughts on it all. Or just watch the trailer yourself and screw what I think. But no matter what you choose to do, I would love it if you left a comment below saying what you thought about the trailer. But enough talking. To the link!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier official trailer: www.youtube.com/watch?v=NLWsK1…

Alright, time for my thoughts which have been helpfully categorized for your convenience. Now if for some reason you decided not to watch the trailer, this will, of course, contain spoilers for it. Read at your own risk.

Steve: Oh Captain, my Captain. He's gone from Star-Spangled Man with a Plan to an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. That's one heck of a career change, a change that seems like something he's not entirely comfortable with. Or perhaps he just didn't know quite what he was getting himself into. Either way it seems that a clash of morals between the super-soldier and the super secret organization will play a big role in the film. On a slightly more superficial note it seems that Steve has updated his wardrobe. It also appears that someone has taught him the ancient art of hair gel. Maybe Tony? Who knows? But I approve of Cap's new, more modern, style.

Natasha: Natasha giving out dating advice. That's something I never thought I'd see in a Marvel movie. I am glad that so far it seems that she'll be the main female lead in the movie. Then again they did mention a love interest so who knows how that'll play out. I also liked the brief clip of her fighting towards the end. Hopefully we'll see more of that in the future. As for her new hairstyle, I'm neutral for now. But maybe it might grow on me. We'll just have to wait and see.

Winter Soldier: We didn't actually see a lot of him, did we? They didn't even say that he was the Winter Soldier in question. Unless I missed that. I don't think I did. Anyway, that shield catch at the end was cool and this is just the first trailer so we'll probably get more of him in the next one.

S.H.I.E.L.D.: If the Avengers movie started to pull back the curtain as to how far these guys will go to protect the peace, this film seems like it's going to tear that curtain right off its rings. In fact, it feels like the trailer is telling us that they'll be just as much as a problem for Steve as the enemy. Or perhaps even an enemy themselves. Dun dun DUN!!!!

Falcon: He didn't actually say anything but those brief flashes of him shooting at bad guys and taking flight are a good start to what I hope will be a great character.

Cap's shield at the end: I loved this bit so much that I'm giving it its own section. The shield, scratched with its paint all but chipped off, is a striking image. If you hadn't already figured out that there were dark times ahead for Steve Rogers, the sight of the shield like that hopefully clued you in.

So what did you think about the trailer? Like I said up top, I'd love to know. So if there's something you liked, something you hated, or anything else, leave a comment about it below. And you can catch Captain America: The Winter Solder in theaters on March twenty-eighth in Poland and the UK, May first in Brazil and Germany, April second in France, and April third and fourth everywhere else.

Can't wait that long to dive back into the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Well you're in luck! Thor: The Dark World comes out in most countries between October thirtieth and November eighth. The exceptions to this are Cambodia and Hungary where it will come out November fourteenth, Lithuania where it will come out November fifteenth, Italy where it will come out November twentieth, Argentina and Greece where it comes out on the twenty-first, and Japan where it will not come out until February first. Sorry guys! But the Thor: The Dark World review journal will be out in the first half of December.

Anyway that's all for this journal. Until next time, this has been new Group Founder :iconsuperkim111: with the MarvelAvengers premiere of the first official Captain America: The Winter Soldier trailer. Bye!
Hello there! I'm :iconsuperkim111:, :iconmarvelavengers: new Founder. It seems that you have found your way to our new Group Submission Policy Journal. Whether you have a question or you're just looking to see how things go around here, this is the place to find out what works are accepted into the group, and what folder they should be directed to. Let's start with some common questions.

1. Is there a limit to how many things I can submit each day/week/month?
* Nope! You can send us as many things as you want!

2. Do you quality control?
* Heck no! MarvelAvengers accepts all submissions. After all, what I might like and what you might like can be two entirely different things. Why should I exclude something others might adore just because it isn't tailored to my specific tastes? Sounds pretty silly if you ask me.

3. Do you accept submissions showing the Marvel Cinematic Universe actors?
* We sure do! Just send it to their character's folder so people know where to find them.

4. Do you accept adult content?
* Yes we do. Just make sure it has the appropriate mature filter. We wouldn't want anyone to get in trouble or see something they don't want to see.

Now let's move on to gallery folders. MarvelAvengers has plenty of folders so that you can send your submission to the right place as well as find exactly the kind of art you're looking for. Listed below are the names of all those folders as well as what will be accepted to, and can be found in, them.
